The short version. Your tickets never leave your phone. There is no account and no server holding your data. The only personal information that goes anywhere is an advertising identifier, used by Google to serve ads, and only if you allow it when iOS asks.
Your tickets — the numbers, the games, the dates, the serial printed on the slip, and everything the app works out about what they won — are stored only on your iPhone. They are not uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone. Deleting the app deletes them.
Photographs you scan are processed on the device using Apple's on-device text recognition and are not transmitted. They are discarded after the scan unless you turn on Save scans to Photos, which saves them to your own photo library. That permission is add-only: the app can add a photo and can never read your library.
The app is free and shows a banner ad through Google AdMob. Google's advertising code runs inside the app and collects data of its own — we never see it, but you should know what it is:
If you decline tracking, ads still appear but are not personalised. You can change your mind at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Google's handling of that data is covered by Google's privacy policy. We receive no personal information from Google and hold none ourselves.
If you allow notifications, they are scheduled and delivered by your device. Nothing is sent through a server, and we cannot see them.
Longshot is intended for adults of legal lottery-playing age in their jurisdiction. It sells nothing and takes no wagers, but it is not designed or directed to children.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and any material change will be described in the app's release notes.
